The Renault R5 Turbo 2 is everything you could ever want in a car: It’s a mid-engine French hatchback from the 1980s with huge fender flares and a genuine rally pedigree. It’s perfect for seriously afflicted car geeks. The ultimate model evolution was the R5 Maxi Turbo which benefited from a significant increases in power and a redesigned front fascia to incorporate four giant fog lights. It was made famous by the well renowned French rally driver Jean Ragnotti who took it to victory at the 1985 Tour de Corse rally.
