This 914 is powered by a rebuilt Porsche Flat-4, with dual Weber carburetors this example sounds fantastic. The 5-speed manual transaxle shifts smoothly, making you feel like a driving god, even at low speeds. The car has been regularly driven by an enthusiastic collector and his son with no issues to note. The red paint comes from a Lincoln paint code and shows exceptionally, the metallic flake is deep and consistent throughout the car. A full interior rebuild was carried out by Autoweave in Thornton, the interior shows just as well as the exterior.

heritage
Built in West Germany between the late 1960’s through to the mid 1970’s, the 914 Porsche was a 2 seater Targa topped sports car powered by both flat-4 and flat-6 engines. While the 914/6 was the more desirable car, with race winning pedigree tracing back to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970, they were produced in limited numbers, just 3,332 units left the factory. The 914/4 was still a vastly loved vehicle that was known for its nimble handling and lively character on the road.

photographer's notes
This car has been repainted and the paint looks amazing in person. While photographing the car there were no signs of any cosmetic damage, both inside and outside. This car has been babied and it was evident that the owner was passionate about keeping it in tip-top shape. It's clear to me that the previous owner loved this car.
The red is classy and gorgeous. It has an awesome metallic depth to it. This car is for cruises and is certainly a little more under the radar than it's counterpart. This is one of the sportiest cars you'll ever drive. Still handled like it was on rails, but not to the extent of the yellow 914. This car seems a little more drivable for long periods of time and also has an even better sound system with sub and amp in the frunk. The car is super clean, fires right up handles great, and is super responsive. Shifts are crisp and I couldn't find any cosmetic damage anywhere on the car.
