2009/1962 Chevrolet Corvette

T-5R don't hit the market very often. When they emerge they tend to be garage queens or clapped-out daily drivers.

Click the link to see a letter from the owner of CRC outlining the cars history and explaining the car's reconstructed title status.

highlights

The car features an original drivetrain, LS3, transmission, interior, instrumentation, convertible top, factory front & side airbags and front & rear crash protection. The car is an absolute blast to drive, and the handling is tight. Once you fire up the car you’re greeted with the iconic rumble of the V8 and the exhaust note isn’t overbearing at higher RPMs. Flipping through the paddle shifters brings a grin on your face and as the current owner puts it, “this car is a head turner and it constantly gets looks. People want to know the story behind the car, where it's from and who built it.” Golfers will be happy to know that an entire golf bag fits in the trunk.

This two owner car was one of the first CRC Retro’s built, and was taken to car shows to promote the builder. The owner of CRC retired and sold the vehicle to a friend of the current owner who has only put 9,000 miles on the car. The vehicle has always been stored in a climate controlled garage and currently has 13,000 miles on it.

This car was built on a salvage title C6 Corvette. According to the seller, CRC found a donor car with just 2,300 miles; it had been involved in an accident that resulted in a bent frame. They moved the engine, transmission and all the running gear onto a new frame, making sure the underpinning of this car met their high standards. The Seller notes it's been incredibly reliable and a perfect weekend cruiser.  When it comes time for service a local Chevy dealership can run the diagnostics and handle much of the maintenance. Speaking of service, the car has been taken in every year since ownership in 2009. A Mobil 1 full synthetic oil change was just done last year as well as a full inspection. A new battery was installed this past summer.
