Pcar Market Live Auction
Overview
This K5 has been restored and finished in custom pearl white paint complemented by chrome trim on the bumpers, front grille, mirrors, and door handles. Equipment includes a fender-mounted antenna, aftermarket LED halo-style headlights, smoked taillights and turn signals, front fender vents, a removable black soft top, a roll bar, and a folding tailgate with black Chevrolet lettering. The truck rides on aftermarket 16” wheels dressed in 315/75 Patriot M/T tires. The seller describes the car as having unblemished custom paint and is in show-ready condition.
The cabin has been redone with black and Stone Gray upholstery accented by blue stitching on the seats and a body-colored dashboard. Accessories include heated Tahoe-sourced front bucket seats with folding armrests, a rear bench seat with dual 4-point harnesses, a center console cup holder and locking storage compartment, polished Chevy bowtie door sills, custom gauges, LED dashboard lighting, a wood-rimmed chrome steering wheel, custom carpet floor mats with blue Chevy emblems, and factory air conditioning. The sound system features a RetroSound Bluetooth head unit paired with a custom amplifier, 6”x9” speakers, and a Kicker subwoofer mounted in the cargo area within a custom enclosure.
Power comes from a rebuilt 350ci V8 engine featuring an RV cam, a Demon 750 carburetor, a Holley fuel pump, stainless-steel headers, and a dual exhaust. A three-speed TH350 automatic transmission is paired with an NP205 dual-range transfer case sending power to either the rear or all four wheels. The suspension has been modified with a 4” lift kit and the truck was equipped with power-assisted steering and brakes from the factory. The seller notes the carburetor is currently jetted for the high altitude in Colorado.

Heritage
The first generation of the Chevy Blazer, known as the K5 Blazer, was produced from 1969 to 1972. It was based on the Chevrolet C/K pickup, which was evident in its frame and front-end styling. It also adopted the truck’s engine and suspension components.
The 1969 model was a two-door, full-size SUV that came with either a soft convertible top or a removable hardtop. A four-wheel drive (4WD) system was the only option for this model year, as the rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant only became available in 1970. A choice between a three-speed automatic, or a three- or four-speed manual transmission was offered.
