History & Maintenance
The vehicle has had three owners and was purchased new in California on 10/28/ 2005. The owner had the car for three years before selling it. Carfax indicates that the vehicle was regularly serviced. Vehicle was sold at an auction on 11/17/2008 and was regularly serviced before selling again on 9/23/2013. This brings us to our current ownership. Under ownership, car has been maintained and serviced regularly.
In June 2015, the vehicle had a new sending unit installed due to an oil pressure problem. Engine was checked and ok.In October 15, the car’s transmission was serviced. A new gear selector solenoid and wiring harness for the transmission control was installed, as well as a position sensor kit. In August 2015, the battery was replaced and the clutch was replaced. In June 2019, car had new tires put on, 235/35ZR-19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S XL in front and 265/30ZR-19 Michelin Pilot Pro Sport 4S XL Rear.
An accident in 2017 caused damage that required repair and refinishing of the left door and and left fender.
In November 2019, Clutch position sensor, release bearing and clutch was replaced. In September 2020, the car was towed in for shutting off when it shouldn’t, and a code for implausible release bearing position was found and cleared, after consulting with Maserati/Ferrari aftersales the consensus is that the bearing seals stuck to the guide sleeve momentarily from sitting too long, causing the car’s computer to lose reference location of the release bearing. According to the tech’s notes” Use it or lose it! This vehicle needs to be driven regularly!”
In February 2024, the car had a cracked fuel tank pump cover, driver side fuel pump, and fuel pump were replaced. The convertible top was repaired so that it fully retracted properly.l

Interior A
Interior is in excellent condition with no tears or stains. All switches and controls work as they should. There is no radio or air conditioning
Exterior A+
Exterior is in phenomenal condition, the vehicle has been professionally ceramic coated and the paint surface is flawless. There are no scratches, dents, cracks or rust on the vehicle.
Mechanical A+
The vehicle operates as it should and does so nicely. Power comes on strong and the steering is tight. A few rattles here and there, but that is to be expected of a car like this.
Photographer's notes
I’ll admit, I’ve always had a soft spot for these Maseratis. They have tons of character and ooze class without coming across as pretentious. I’ve had the opportunity to drive a few GTs and Spiders, including a GranSport, and mechanically, this feels the best of them all. The color is absolutely sensational and the paint shines brilliantly in the sun. The polished wheels are also gorgeous and luckily have been kept in nice shape. If you’re looking for a nice weekend cruiser or something fun and sophisticated to drive more regularly, it’s tough to beat this car.
