Market Value: Nobody has ever built anything this abominable to compare to
The Ferrari F40 LM is one of the wildest vehicles to ever leave any factory, anywhere on the face of this planet. Some would say that the beauty is comparable only to that of Michelangelo’s David.
Not this one however, the choice to throw the factory Rosso Corsa and Black color scheme out the window has been done before, however, normally we find these repaints in Ferrari colors such as the Pozzi Blue F40 or the Verde Inglese F40, these cars, while not true to their roots are factually beautiful. The choice of Nardo grey over Blue was clearly not fully thought through, this car presents like a hot wheels car designed by a colorblind 9-year-old. This 2.75-million-dollar car is not road legal and after hearing it run, I highly doubt it would make it a single lap around a racetrack without blowing itself to pieces, having heard many F40s as well as race cars idle, this car puts a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘bag of bolts’.
After being asked to wipe this car down and get it cleaned up for the auction, I had the distinct displeasure of getting up close, the bodywork and paint were just as disappointing as the color scheme. If you have ever looked at the paint of an F40 up close, you will have noticed that so little paint was used on these cars to the point that you could see the weave of the composite body, unfortunately, whoever painted this car either used a metric ton of paint or Bondo, more likely both.
